Clement Aghayere's Story
Clement Aghayere was born into a British and American family with three generations of banking heritage rooted in the City of London since the 1960s. The Aghayere family carries a distinguished academic and professional legacy, with alumni ties to Harvard, Duke, MIT, and UEL, and has been featured across major media outlets including CNN, CBS, Fox News, The Wall Street Journal, and The New York Times.
Clement was privately educated in Britain and trained as a systems engineer before qualifying as a political economist in the United Kingdom. His career took shape across the world’s leading financial centers, with roles spanning London, New York, Lagos, Amsterdam, and the Asia Pacific region, including Japan and China. He went on to become the former co-owner, partner, and Vice President for Africa at Mayfair-based emerging markets merchant bank Brigg Capital, and since October 2015, has served as the commercial representative for Africa at Bank of China Group, the third largest bank in the world. Today, as Managing Partner of Africa Bridge Capital Management in Mayfair, London, Clement continues to channel his family heritage and global experience into building bridges between emerging markets and global capital.
